Install Linux in Windows easily

Installing Linux in Windows through virtual machines can be a headache, especially for low-end machines. If you have a low-end machine, try Oracle Virtualbox(105MB). If a decent machine then VMware workstation.

Prerequisite- An iso file of Linux

  1. VirtuaBox - download from here

    • Install the .exe file from the above link

    • Click on New

  • Select the folder where the iso file of Linux is located.

  • Click on Finish

  • Follow the next easy instructions.

  1. VMware - download from here

    • Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine"

  • Select the iso file

  • Follow the next few easy instructions

  • Configure username etc.

    • Select "Finish"

    • VMware will launch your iso file
